- 14 tango classes in weekdays

THE PLACE

Located on the Mediterranean sea, Valencia is the third largest city in Spain. extremely popular turistic destination  because of its amazing historical center and the many cultural atractions.

The combination of the sea, the river Turia, and the nearby Albufera (a freshwater lagoon) creates a natural paradise and astonishing landscapes.

Its worldwide known dish; Paella Valenciana, is something you don´t want to miss!

In december the average temperature is 13 ¤, mild enough to try a swim if you are enough courageous

THE PLAN

-------------

 

TANGO CLASSES

You will get daily classes during weekdays:

• one hour and half classes in the morning by one of the most talented argentinean tango teachers resident in Spain, who started tango in Valencia, Guillermo Alvarez Zambelli, owner and Director  of the school Tiempo de Tango. Classes will be held in english with translation of the basic Tango terminology / vocabulary to spanish.
• One hour and half classes in the afternoon with the argentinean dancer and teacher Marcela Troncoso, resident in Malmö, Sweden. Classes will be held in english/swedish with translation to spanish for the basic Tango terminology  /vocabulary.
• Availability of BOOKING PRIVATE CLASSES  during the weekdays.

 

About TANGO classes:

•  Classes with different thematic each one, will be oriented to all levels and they will develop in a progressive way to reach from the basic concepts to the more advanced
• You do not need  participate with your own dance partner, even though this is highly recommended.
• Classes will be held in Tiempo de tango dance school.
• It will be a lunch break between morning and afternoon classes.

 

SPANISH CLASSES

• One daily hour spanish class in the afternoon, after your tango classes
• You will learn the basic vocabulary/ verbs / phrases in an easy way, through conversation.
• We will also include basic knowledge of tango terminology and usual phrases for a simple conversation in tango places

 

OTHER ACTIVITIES

• Local milongas
• sightseeing; city and surroundings, in the weekends
• Argentinean asado (barbecue)  special party, among local tango dancers

THE TEACHERS

GUILLERMO  ALVAREZ  ZAMBELLI

Tango dancer and teacher born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina

Bachelor of Physical Education, Physical Trainer, with extensive knowledge in the dynamics of movement and experience in education and group management. Studying with many teachers from different styles allowed him to create his own, with great versatility of movement and range of resources.

He moved to Valencia (Spain) in 2000, and organized mutliple milongas, besides his working as tango teacher and proffesional dancer in all Spain. He owns tango school Tiempo de Tango.

MARCELA TRONCOSO

Tango dancer and teacher born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

With background in all kind of dances, starting with ballet at 6 years old,  she finally met tango in 1994, and started her studies in all tango styles, with the old milongueros, to the new tango teachers, among others, Copes, Gloria and Eduardo, Julio Barlmaceda and Corina de la Rosa, Natalia Gomez and Gabriel Angio, Gustavo Naveira.

She moved to Malmö, Sweden in 2004, teaching, performing and organizing milongas. In parallel, during all these years she travelled  around all Europe, teaching and performing in tango festivals, and tango associations.

We consider traveling as extremely important to develop tango skills, by feeding our tango passion  from other embraces, and creating a net of tango links, in a world every day more connected.
Milongas and practicas around the world are our destination, as well as  sightseeing.

We include Tango classes. Getting new inspiration by learning with different teachers with different approach and style, gives that amount of challenge that we need in our busy daily life.

We should not feel alone in this path.
We travel together.
 We attempt to bring back that sense of "social happening" that was the original flame in the beginning of tango, when people from different countries, talking different languages,  melted down together their human experiences.

But Tango Trips goal goes even beyond that.

Adding a dimension not enough highlighted when we talk about the tango learning process: the language.
How to reach  the intimate soul of tango, hidden deeply behind the music? Understanding the language in which tango was born, was written, was lived from the beginning.

We offer as addition to learn spanish. Not just because philosophical reasons, but because of very practical reasons, like future travels you might plan to Buenos Aires or a ordinary tango class with argentinean teachers wherever you imagine.
